Call for Applications: Excellence Scholarships for Artificial Intelligence Training at Université Clermont-Auvergne (2026 Intake)

Université Clermont-Auvergne and Clermont-Auvergne INP have officially opened applications for the MIAI Cluster Excellence Scholarships for Artificial Intelligence Training. This opportunity supports high-performing students enrolled in AI-focused programmes at bachelor’s, master’s, and engineering levels. Designed for both French and international students, the scholarship helps outstanding candidates deepen their expertise in artificial intelligence while preparing for advanced specialization or doctoral research.

About the MIAI Excellence Scholarship Program

The MIAI Cluster scholarship is a talent-support initiative created to encourage academic excellence in artificial intelligence. It offers financial assistance to students who show strong academic results and clear motivation to build a future in AI.

Selected students receive:

• €4,000 for Bachelor L3 or first year of engineering school

• €8,000 for Master level (M1, M2, or 2nd/3rd year of engineering school)

The scholarship is paid in two instalments over the academic year and allows students to fully focus on their studies.

Who Can Apply?

You may apply if you:

• Are enrolled or planning to enroll in L3, M1, M2, or engineering school at Université Clermont-Auvergne or Clermont-Auvergne INP

• Are studying in a programme where artificial intelligence is central or taught as a key tool

• Have excellent academic results

• Are in a non-apprenticeship training track

• Have a clear study plan in AI, with the goal of pursuing specialization or a PhD in a UCA research laboratory

For M2 applicants, the second semester research thesis must be strongly connected to AI.

What Documents Are Required?

Applicants must submit:

• A detailed CV

• A motivation letter explaining their academic project and interest in AI

• Recent academic transcripts

• One or more recommendation letters
