Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification Norms

  • M.E./M.Tech: Aggregate minimum 60% marks (average of all semesters) OR CGPA 6.5 on a 10-point scale.

  • M.Sc.: Aggregate minimum 65% marks (average of all semesters) OR CGPA 6.84 on a 10-point scale.

  • B.E./B.Tech (Pre-requisite): Aggregate minimum 65% marks OR CGPA 6.84.

  • B.Sc. (Pre-requisite): Aggregate minimum 60% marks OR CGPA 6.5.

  • Rounding off marks is NOT allowed.

Selection Process

The selection involves a Written Test followed by a Personal Interview.

Stage 1: Written Test (Pattern)

A. For Post Codes 04-11 (M.E./M.Tech Based)

  • Part A (Discipline Specific): 60 Marks | 75 Minutes | 60 MCQs (+1, -1/3 marking).

  • Part B (Aptitude): 20 Marks | 30 Minutes | Max 15 MCQs (No negative marking). Topics: Reasoning (Numerical, Logical, Diagrammatic, Abstract, Deductive).

  • Part C (Descriptive): 20 Marks | 30 Minutes | Technical descriptive questions relevant to specialization.

  • Total: 100 Marks.

B. For Post Codes 12-16 (M.Sc. Based)

  • Part A (Discipline Specific): 80 Marks | 90 Minutes | 80 MCQs (+1, -1/3 marking).

  • Part B (Aptitude): 20 Marks | 30 Minutes | Max 15 MCQs (No negative marking).

  • Total: 100 Marks.

Stage 2: Personal Interview

  • Candidates are shortlisted in a 1:5 ratio based on Written Test performance.

  • Final Panel Weightage: 50% Written Test + 50% Interview.

  • Minimum Qualifying Marks:

    • UR: 50% in each part of Written Test & 50/100 in Interview (60% Aggregate).

    • Reserved: 40% in each part of Written Test & 40/100 in Interview (50% Aggregate).

Exam Cities

The written test will be conducted in 18 cities:
Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Raipur, Ranchi, and Thiruvananthapuram.

  • Register with a valid Email ID and Mobile Number.

  • Note: Separate applications are needed for Post Code 07 (SAC) and Post Code 08 (NESAC).

2. Fill Application

  • Log in using the registration number.

  • Fill in personal details, educational qualifications, and experience.

  • Select the preferred Written Test City (if applying for multiple posts, select the same city).

3. Upload Documents (Scanned)

  • Photo: Color passport size (max 1MB, JPG/JPEG). No selfies.

  • Signature: Black/Blue ink on white paper (max 1MB, JPG/JPEG).

  • Certificates: All Essential/Pre-requisite mark sheets and certificates (max 1MB, PDF).

  • Category Certificate: Caste/PwBD/Discharge certificate for fee refund claim (PDF).

4. Fee Payment

  • Pay ₹ 750/- via the Bharatkosh portal using Net Banking, UPI, Credit/Debit Card.

  • Save the payment receipt.

5. Submission

  • Verify all details carefully. Once submitted, the form cannot be edited.

  • Print the application summary for future reference.

  • No hard copy needs to be sent to SAC ISRO.
