The University of Pécs has officially announced the call for applications for the Pannónia Scholarship Program Student Mobility for Traineeship for the Fall Semester of the 2026–2027 academic year. The program allows enrolled students to complete a funded traineeship at a company, university, or organization in another participating country, with mobility starting from 1 July 2026. Interested students must submit their applications through the Neptun system before 12 March 2026 (15:00 sharp).

About the Program

The Pannónia Scholarship Program supports students who want real international work exposure during their studies. Selected applicants will spend 2 to 4 months abroad working with a host organization. The traineeship can be completed at:

  • Companies and private sector organizations

  • Universities and research institutions

  • Professional and non-profit organizations

  • Education, training, and youth sector institutions

(Participation at EU bodies and National Offices is not permitted.)

The goal is simple — students gain practical skills, understand workplace culture in another country, and improve their readiness for the international job market.

Duration & Work Conditions

  • Duration: Minimum 2 months (62 days) – Maximum 4 months (120 days)

  • Start period: From July 2026

  • Working hours: At least 30 hours per week

  • Students remain enrolled at their home university during mobility

  • Credits earned abroad are fully recognized (100%) by the University of Pécs

Students will also receive a Diploma Supplement or credit recognition if the traineeship is approved in advance through a Learning Agreement.

Financial Support

The scholarship is paid in Hungarian Forint (HUF) and depends on:

  • Length of stay

  • Host country

Payment structure:

  • 90% paid before departure

  • 10% paid after completion

Important: The grant helps cover expenses but may not cover all living costs abroad.

Who Can Apply?

Applicants must:

  • Be enrolled in a Bachelor, Master, Undivided, or PhD program

  • Have completed at least one active semester

  • Maintain active student status during mobility

  • Not graduate before the mobility ends

  • Have strong English or local language skills (minimum B2, C1 recommended)

Students receiving Stipendium Hungaricum scholarships cannot apply.

Required Documents

Applicants must prepare:

  • Professional CV

  • Motivation letter (minimum 1500 characters)

  • Official transcript of records

  • Language certificate(s)

  • Recommendation letter

  • Acceptance letter from host organization

  • Optional: proof of professional or public activities

Important Conditions

Mobility cannot begin unless the following are approved:

  • Signed Learning Agreement

  • Faculty International Committee decision

  • Signed grant agreement

Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Application Deadline

12 March 2026 (15:00) via the Neptun system
(Students should apply at least 60 days before planned mobility.)
