CSIR-CCMB Recruitment 2026 – Apply for Technician, Technical Assistant & Technical Officer Posts

CSIR-Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CSIR-CCMB), Hyderabad, a premier Research Laboratory under the Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, has released Advertisement Nos. 01/2026 & 02/2026. The institute is inviting applications from eligible Indian citizens for the positions of Technician (1), Technical Assistant, and Technical Officer.

These are permanent positions offering 7th CPC Pay Matrix levels with total emoluments ranging from approx ₹39,545 to ₹90,100 per month. Interested candidates must apply online starting 27-01-2026 and submit the hard copy by 02-03-2026.

The recruitment is divided into two advertisements (01/2026 & 02/2026) covering three distinct technical cadres.

*Total Emoluments are approximate including admissible allowances like DA, HRA, TA etc.
**Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Ex-Servicemen as per GoI/CSIR guidelines.

Eligibility Criteria (Expected)

Note: The detailed full advertisement with specific educational qualifications will be published on the official website on 27.01.2026. However, based on standard CSIR Recruitment Rules, the expected qualifications are:

1. Technician (1):

• Qualification: SSC/10th Standard with Science subjects with 55% marks PLUS ITI certificate in the relevant trade OR National/State Trade Certificate.

2. Technical Assistant:

• Qualification: 1st Class B.Sc. in relevant science subject / 1st Class Diploma in Engineering / Technology of 3 years full-time duration.

3. Technical Officer:

• Qualification: B.E./B.Tech with 55% marks OR M.Sc. with 55% marks in relevant area.

Selection Process

The selection process for CSIR technical posts usually involves:

1. Screening: Applications will be screened based on eligibility.

2. Trade Test / Skill Test: For Technician and Technical Assistant posts (Qualifying nature).

3. Written Examination: Competitive written exam (OMR/CBT) for final merit.
