About the EU Delegation
The Delegation represents the European Union in Cabo Verde, managing political relations, security cooperation, trade issues, and fisheries agreements. 🇪🇺 Diplomatic Mission of the European Union 🇨🇻 Focuses on: International Relations, Security, & Communication.
📍 Internship location: Cape Verde (Cabo Verde)
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations, Law, Economy, Communication, or Political Science.

Experience: Must have less than one year of professional experience after graduation.

Language Skills: Fluency in Portuguese and English (written and spoken) is mandatory. Knowledge of French is desirable.

Skills: Excellent drafting, IT, and time management skills. Experience with InDesign, Photoshop, or Video creation is a plus.
Internship Duration
6 Months (Subject to budget availability)

1st Traineeship: 01 March 2026 – 31 August 2026

2nd Traineeship: 01 September 2026 – 28 February 2027
Stipend Details
Monthly Grant provided to cover living expenses. Note: Travel, visa, insurance, and accommodation costs must be borne by the trainee.
Roles & Responsibilities
Interns will assist the Section Head and Press Officer with:

Digital Media: Managing the EUD’s website and social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) and creating campaigns.

Diplomacy: Monitoring political developments, trade issues, and security cooperation projects.

Events: Organizing public events, press conferences, and Europe Day celebrations.

Drafting: Preparing press releases, press reviews, and reports on meetings.
