The University of Agder (UiA), a prominent public institution in Southern Norway known for its strong focus on "co-creation of knowledge," has opened applications for 3 new research and academic positions.

1- PhD Research Fellowship at the Faculty of Fine Artsin AI in the Creative and Cultural Industries
Location: Universitetsveien 25 Kristiansand, Norway
Application Deadline: 2026-02-01 23:59
Stipend: NOK 550,800 gross per year

Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or equivalent higher education in a relevant field. The applicant must document that the degree aligns with the position’s profile.
- Required English skills, both written and spoken. English proficiency may be assessed during the interview.

2- PhD Research Fellowship at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Creative Use of AI in Education
Location: Universitetsveien 25 Kristiansand, Norway
Application Deadline: 2026-02-01 23:59
Stipend: NOK 550,800 gross per year

Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or equivalent higher education in a relevant field. The applicant must document that the degree aligns with the position’s profile.
- The project must be relevant to the call and to MishMash’s goals and objectives.
- Good English skills, both written and spoken. English proficiency may be assessed during the interview.

3- Associate Professor in Responsible Digitalization
Location: Universitetsveien 25 Kristiansand, Norway
Application Deadline: 2026-01-15 23:59
Stipend: NOK 815 000 – 860 000  gross salary per year

Required Qualifications

candidates who can cover one or more of the following areas: 
- systems development
- programming
- data Science
- responsible digitalization

The working language at the University of Agder is Norwegian. The successful candidate must be proficient in Norwegian on level B2, or another Scandinavian language. 
For candidates who are not proficient in Norwegian, the University of Agder will facilitate the completion of courses in Norwegian. Permanently employed staff is expected to be proficient in Norwegian within three years. 
Candidates are expected to be proficient in English.
