Busitema University hereby invites applications for admission to Doctoral, Master’s, Bachelor’s, Diploma and Certificate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic year. The call is issued by Dr. Gimuguni Lillian Nabaasa (PhD), Academic Registrar, and applies to Busitema University, its Maritime Institute and affiliated institutions including the International Institute of Health Sciences (Jinja) and Mulago School of Nursing.

Established in 2007, Busitema University operates six faculties — Agriculture & Animal Science, Engineering & Technology, Science Education, Health Sciences, Management Sciences, and Natural Resource Economics & Environmental Sciences.

Important:

Entry Requirements

Postgraduate

• Relevant Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution

Diploma/Certificate Holders

• At least a Credit/Second Class diploma

• Some programmes allow direct year-two entry (e.g., BBA with CGPA 3.60+)

A-Level Applicants

• Minimum five passes at UCE

• At least two principal passes at UACE

• Eligible exam years: 2021–2025 (except weekend BBA)

International Students

Must submit:

• Equated academic documents (UNEB or NCHE)

• Proof of English proficiency (if required)

Special Entry Examination

Required for:

• Medicine (MBChB)

• Pharmacy

• Nursing

• Anesthesia

Applicants must pay the special exam fee and sit the exam (April 2026; venue announced later).
