The program invites applications from eligible non-U.S. citizen university students residing in Vietnam for five part-time student internship positions. Applications are open from January 26, 2026, and must be submitted by February 9, 2026.
Program Overview
The Foreign Commercial Service Student Internship is a one-year, part-time educational program designed to support the work of the U.S. Embassy in Ha Noi while providing students with practical exposure to international trade, commercial diplomacy, and market research. The program emphasizes learning through direct engagement with the U.S. Commercial Service Office and related mission activities. The internship is unpaid and does not constitute employment with the U.S. Government.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet all of the following conditions:

Be at least 18 years old at the time of participation

Be a Vietnamese citizen or permanent legal resident of Vietnam

Be currently enrolled as a university or college student in Vietnam for the full duration of the internship

Maintain good academic standing, supported by official transcripts

Obtain required medical and security clearances from the Embassy

Demonstrate fluency in spoken and written English
Academic background in International Business, Economics, International Relations, or a related field is preferred.
