Jewish Democratic Council of America Announces Executive Fellowship Program for 2026

The Jewish Democratic Council of America (JDCA) has officially announced its Executive Fellowship Program for 2026, inviting college students and young professionals to apply for a paid, year-long educational fellowship beginning in March or April 2026 and continuing through December 2026. The program offers hands-on experience in voter engagement, organizing, and leadership development, with a focus on mobilizing younger voters across the United States.

About the JDCA Executive Fellowship

The Executive Fellowship is designed to prepare the next generation of Jewish leaders by combining real-world organizing experience with structured leadership training. Fellows will work closely with JDCA’s Organizing and Partner Engagement Department, supporting national efforts to engage voters and build strong youth-driven civic participation.

The fellowship is mostly remote, with opportunities to attend select in-person events throughout the year.

What Executive Fellows Will Do

Executive Fellows will take on meaningful responsibilities that directly support JDCA’s organizing work. This includes engaging voters, recruiting and training volunteers, and supporting youth-focused outreach efforts in college campuses and local communities.

Fellows will also help lead and manage a team of Organizing Fellows, working alongside JDCA staff to coordinate outreach activities, volunteer engagement, and coalition partnerships in assigned states.

Training and Leadership Development

All Executive Fellows will be trained and supervised by JDCA’s Organizing and Youth Voter Engagement Manager. The program places a strong emphasis on leadership growth, offering:

• Practical organizing and management training

• Access to digital organizing tools and voter engagement platforms

• Educational sessions on civic engagement and democratic participation

• Networking opportunities with JDCA staff and partner organizations

The goal is to equip fellows with long-term skills that support both JDCA’s mission and their future careers.

Who Should Apply

The fellowship is open to college students and young professionals who are motivated, organized, and eager to contribute to civic engagement efforts.

Applicants should demonstrate:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to manage time effectively and meet ambitious goals

• Comfort working independently in a fast-paced environment

Previous experience in political organizing, volunteer management, coalition-building, or campaign tools such as NGP EveryAction, VoteBuilder, or Mobilize is helpful but not required.

Time Commitment and Requirements

• Start date: March or April 2026

• End date: December 2026

• Students: Approximately 20 hours per week (maximum during school year)

• Full-time fellows: Approximately 35 hours per week

• Reliable access to a computer, internet, and cell phone is required

• Participation in onboarding and training sessions is mandatory

Stipend and Compensation

Executive Fellows will receive a $1,800 per month stipend for the duration of the fellowship.
