The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) has announced applications for its Internship in External Engagement at the Office of the Secretary General. The paid internship offers structured learning, global exposure, and hands-on work at the ICC Headquarters in Paris, France.

The ICC has opened applications for this role designed for motivated undergraduate and postgraduate students who want to champion the needs of local businesses in global decision-making.

The programme offers structured learning, practical experience, and direct exposure to the work and mission of the ICC, giving young professionals a chance to contribute to global economic development.

Combining Academic Learning with Real-World Application

This internship focusses on combining academic learning with real-world application. Interns work on impactful projects, engage with senior stakeholders, and gain insight into how the world’s largest business organization operates across 170 countries.

The programme is aimed at students who want to build skills in international relations, understand global governance forums (like the WTO and UN), and contribute to meaningful work.

Applications are currently open for the cohort starting on February 23rd, 2026.

WHY APPLY FOR THE ICC INTERNSHIP

The programme offers hands-on experience in the Secretary General’s Office (SGO), focusing on external engagement strategy. Interns will work closely with the Chief of Staff and the external engagement team.

During the internship, participants actively contribute to drafting policy documents, including briefings, talking points, and speeches. You will also help manage the SGO’s database on external engagement targets.

Interns work closely with colleagues to drive the success of SGO missions overseas, supporting meeting preparations and post-mission follow-ups.
