System Software Engineering Intern, Video Summer 2026 at NVIDIA – Stipend 20-71$

NVIDIA has announced applications for its System Software Engineering Intern (Video) program for Summer 2026. The paid internship offers structured learning, exposure to cutting-edge AI technology, and hands-on development in the field of accelerated computing.

NVIDIA has opened applications for this premier internship designed for undergraduate and postgraduate students from around the world who are passionate about the future of graphics and AI.

The program offers practical experience and direct exposure to NVIDIA’s GPU technology—the "brains" of modern computers, robots, and self-driving cars. This is a unique opportunity for young professionals to contribute to groundbreaking applications that are transforming the industry.

The internship focuses on combining academic knowledge with high-performance real-world applications. Interns work on impactful projects, collaborate with world-class engineers, and gain insight into how one of the world’s most influential technology companies operates.

Applications for the Summer 2026 cohort will be accepted online through January 26, 2026.

Selected interns will join the Video team, working on core technologies that enable video streaming, Hyperscale transcoding, and ultra-low latency game streaming.

WHY APPLY FOR NVIDIA INTERNSHIP

The program offers hands-on experience across areas such as video inference, computer system architectures, and hardware/software interface layer models.

Interns will get the opportunity to learn about Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) and how to harness their full performance. You will be immersed in a diverse, supportive environment where everyone is inspired to do their best work.

During the internship, participants actively contribute to projects that enable video playback and groundbreaking streaming applications. Interns work closely with multiple teams, develop professional skills, and solve complex system-level debugging issues.

Interns receive a competitive hourly salary ranging from $20 USD to $71 USD, based on location, year in school, and experience. You will also be eligible for standard Intern benefits.

WHO CAN APPLY

  • Applicants with an interest in low-level operating system knowledge (memory management, scheduling, and hardware virtualization).

  • Knowledge of video compression and video processing techniques is highly preferred.

  • Experience with Kernel systems (Linux, Android, Chrome, or Windows) is helpful.

HOW TO APPLY

  • Apply online via the NVIDIA careers portal using Job Requisition ID: JR2006997.

  • Upload your Resume/CV and relevant academic transcripts.
