Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Education: Must be enrolled in (or have completed) a Graduate School programme (Master’s/PhD) OR be in the final year of a Bachelor’s degree.

  • Field of Study: Studies in International Development Cooperation are highly desirable.

  • Language Skills: Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of Spanish is also required.

Internship Duration

6 Months (Expected) Candidates may be selected throughout the posting period on an “as-needed” basis.

Stipend Details

Unpaid Note: Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations. Costs for travel, visas, accommodation, and living expenses are the responsibility of the intern.

Roles & Responsibilities

Interns will support the unit with the following duties:

  • Research & Analysis: Conduct online research and prepare inputs for outputs related to the work of the unit.

  • Monitoring: Track developments and issues by analyzing materials from databases and multiple sources.

  • Cooperation Strategies: Gather information on strategies by countries, intergovernmental institutions, and foundations.

  • Administrative Support: Prepare briefings, talking points, and take meeting minutes.
