About the Business and Human Rights Asia Portfolio
UNDP’s Business and Human Rights Asia Portfolio (2025–2030) supports governments, businesses, civil society and rights holders to implement the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs) across fast-growing Asian economies.
The portfolio focuses on:

Responsible business conduct and human rights due diligence

Ethical supply chains and corporate accountability

Access to remedy for business-related human rights abuses

Policy reform, capacity building and regional cooperation
Its work spans 15 countries and aims to strengthen governance, protect vulnerable communities, and promote sustainable and inclusive economic growth across Asia by 2030.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Implementation & Coordination (50%)

Support implementation of regional Business and Human Rights activities

Assist with coordination of multi-stakeholder meetings, workshops and regional events

Conduct desk research and background analysis on:

Business and human rights frameworks

Responsible business practices
-
Regional policy developments in Asia

Coordinate with internal UNDP teams and external partners
Reporting & Data Support (25%)

Support data collection, consolidation and basic analysis for programme monitoring

Assist in maintaining programme documentation and knowledge systems

Organize event outputs, research materials and internal records
Other Support (25%)

Provide ad-hoc programme support based on portfolio needs

Participate in selected regional activities aligned with learning objectives
Who Can Apply?
Education Eligibility
Applicants must meet one of the following:

Final year of a Bachelor’s degree

Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree

Graduated within the last 1 year
Relevant fields include:
International Law, Political Science, International Relations, Global Governance, Business Administration, Business & Human Rights, Sustainability, Responsible Business, or related disciplines.
Skills & Competencies
