The selected candidate will work on the research project titled:

“The contribution of cross-species innate immune responses to the host control of Q-fever”

This project explores immune mechanisms across species to better understand host control of Q-fever, a significant zoonotic disease. The research is being conducted jointly by investigators in India and the UK, making coordination and communication a key component of the role.

Essential Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following minimum eligibility criteria as prescribed by the funding agency:

  • Doctoral degree in Science OR

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized university or equivalent

  • Minimum three years of experience in Research & Development in academic institutions, industrial R&D, or science and technology organizations

Role and Responsibilities

The Project Scientist II will primarily be responsible for:

  • Managing and coordinating project activities between Indian and UK investigators

  • Liaising with participating institutions and the DBT

  • Ensuring smooth execution of project milestones and deliverables

  • Supporting reporting, documentation, and overall project implementation

This role is well-suited for candidates with experience in collaborative research environments and strong organizational skills.

Selection Process
